NSSMC restarts Oita plate mill
Japan’s Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) resumed operation of its Oita plate mill on 6 August, the company tells Kallanish. The 2.4 million tonne/year mill was stopped after a major electrical fire on 5 January.
