NSSMC profits surge on higher prices
Japan’s Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) reports its net profits soared in the first half of its financial year starting April 2017 on the back of firm domestic demand and higher prices. Output and shipments fell however in H1 and a recovery is expected in the coming months, Kallanish notes.
