Korean court orders NSSMC to pay forced labourers
Japan’s Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Corporation (NSSMC) has been ordered by a South Korean court to pay compensation to seven forced labourers who worked during Japan’s colonial rule of Korea in 1910-1945. NSSMC has had better luck in more recent court cases however, settling a dispute in which it accused Posco of stealing technology, Kallanish notes.
