NSSMC boosts Chinese automotive wire capacity
Japan’s Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metals Corporation (NSSMC) has created a new subsidiary in eastern China’s Suzhou to help it expand capacity at an existing cold-heading (CH) wire plant. Other Japanese steelmakers are also investing in this profitable automotive-driven niche, Kallanish notes.
