NSSMC asks world to support, not criticise China
The G7 nations should support China in its attempts to reduce steelmaking overcapacity instead of criticising it, according to Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) vice president Toshiharu Sakae. Japan is, like China, increasingly the victim of protectionist trade measures globally and exports are a far greater proportion of its steel production than China, Kallanish notes.
