Norwegian ore miner earnings surge, foresees strong 2022
Global market fundamentals for iron ore remain strong, with increased state infrastructure spending remaining a positive demand driver, says Norwegian miner Rana Gruber. It foresees 2022 production being level on the previous year.
In 2021 the firm saw hematite sales decline 3% on-year to 1.44 million tonnes. Magnetite sales, though, grew 12% to 106,000t. Iron ore concentrate production rose 6% to 1.65mt (see Kallanish passim).
