Northwest may idle Atchison, still pursuing sale
Northwest Pipe plans to idle its Atchison, Kansas, energy line pipe facility while the company pursues its sale, ceo Scott Montross tells Kallanish.
The decision to idle the facility was based on slow order entry and import pressure, according to Montross. While the decision has not yet been set in stone, the facility is likely to be idled in a few weeks after its existing order backlog is produced and shipped, he says.
