Northwest boosts sales, loses profits in Q3
US large-diameter pipe producer Northwest Pipe Company saw its profits slip but sales increase in the third quarter, Kallanish reports.
Northwest earned $7.3 million on sales of $77.6m in Q3, down from profits of $10.7m on sales of $75.2m in Q3 2019.
The company’s volume in terms of tons sold fell by -37% on-year, but that was offset by a 37% increase in the price per ton achieved.
