Northern China extends steel production restrictions
Northern China is planning to extend its steel and coking production restrictions due to expected heavy air pollution, according to local steel plants and coke ovens. Cities like Tangshan and Handan had been ordered to restrict emissions from production by 50% over 1-15 March, but now plants say they are being asked to extend the restrictions, Kallanish notes.
