Non-residential construction index shifts downward in April
The Dodge Data & Analytics Momentum Index moved -6% lower to 135.9 in April from the revised March reading of 144.5, Kallanish reports.
Both sectors of the construction index, commercial and institutional building, decreased during the month of April. The commercial component fell -7.6%, from 165.8 in March to 153.3 in April. Meanwhile, the institutional component fell -3.2%, from 118.2 in March to 114.4 in April.
