No threat seen to Indian steelmakers' margins
Indian steelmakers’ margins should not come under threat in the near term thanks to increased Chinese supply discipline and range-bound iron ore prices. Receding coking coal prices will also support margins, says analyst India Ratings & Research (Ind-Ra).
Nevertheless, margins could be squeezed by an unexpected deceleration in Chinese demand growth and increased intensity of global trade war, the agency says.
