NMDC hikes iron ore prices on demand uptick
Indian state-run miner NMDC has hiked its iron ore prices for February domestic deliveries, owing to a revival in steel demand and improving market sentiment.
NMDC has increased quotes by INR 300/tonne ($4/t) and INR 200/t for 65.5% Fe, 6-40mm lump ore and 64% Fe up to 10mm fines, respectively.
The miner has pegged its 65.5% Fe, 6-40mm lump ore, and 64% Fe up to 10mm fines prices at INR 5,200/t and INR 4,260/t respectively, Kallanish notes.
