NLRB certifies UAW Chattanooga vote
The National Labour Relations Board has certified an affirmative vote among skilled workers to unionise at Volkswagen’s Chattanooga, Tennessee, plant, Kallanish learns from board documents.
United Autoworkers Local 42 now officially represents 152 skilled trade workers at the Chattanooga plant, 71% of which voted to unionise on 5 December. Skilled trade workers make up about 10% of Chattanooga’s workforce.
