Construction, energy boost NLMK USA in first quarter
Improved construction and energy demand bolstered NLMK’s US wing during the first quarter, Kallanish reports.
NLMK USA saw its sales increase 20% from Q1 2016 to 562,000 tonnes.
Concurrently, NLMK USA’s revenue increased 67% to $399 million, benefitting from both increase volume and more favourable pricing.
As a result, NLMK’s margins increased four percentage points to 17%.
