Nissan initiates layoffs in Spain as market struggles
Carmaker Nissan has started the procedure to cut up to 600 jobs at its plants in the region of Barcelona. The decision to reduce the workforce comes as the Spanish automotive market marked the fourth consecutive month of production decline in February.
The decision was first announced at the end of March, with further steps currently being taken.
