Nippon to add surcharges on thin, narrow plates

Japan’s Nippon Steel has decided to revise extras for all thin and narrow plates for all industries beginning in July, Kallanish learns. Extras of JPY 6,000/tonne ($45/t) are set for plates with sizes measuring 6mm or less in thickness and 2,000mm or less in width.
