Nippon Steel to invest more in coal mines

Japan's largest steelmaker, Nippon Steel Corp, plans to invest more in coal mines as commodity prices surge, Kallanish notes. Its raw material division general manager Kiichi Yamada told Bloomberg in an interview that the firm is studying plans to invest further in coal projects.
