Nippon Steel to suspend Amagasaki coating mill
Nippon Steel Coated Sheet Corporation plans to suspend the No.1 coating line in the Amagasaki Works of its West Japan Plant from the end of June 2025.
The company expects steel demand in the construction sector to fall in the medium to long term as the population decreases, so it needs to scale down production to continue its business, Kallanish notes.
