Nippon Steel says Asean replaces USA
Japan’s Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corporation (Nippon Steel) says that global demand is providing a cushion for the impact of US import duties on steel. It is still concerned about the knock-on impact on its key Southeast Asian steel markets however, Kallanish notes.
