Nippon Steel reports quarterly earnings, raises annual forecasts
Nippon Steel reported falling profit for the June quarter, the first quarter of fiscal year 2023 (FY23), despite its revenue hiking from a year earlier. The trend is consistent with JFE, another major Japanese steel mill (see Kallanish 4 August).
