Typhoon, fire hit Nippon Steel profit
Japan’s Nippon Steel has seen profit in its second financial quarter (July-September) impacted by Typhoon Faxai, a blackout at its Kimitsu plant and a fire at Kure. Although these also impacted output and shipments, the company made up the volume from other plants, Kallanish notes.
