Nippon Steel profits grow, output steady

Japan’s Nippon Steel has reported steady steel output but improved profits in the financial year ended March 2019. It also reports steady progress with its medium-term management plan, Kallanish notes. On a consolidated basis, the group saw crude steel production increase 1.74% year-on-year to 47.84 million tonnes.
