Nippon Steel lifts flat offers in April
Japanese Nippon Steel has announced it will lift offer prices for flat steel for machinery and construction by around 10% in April, marking the first increase since September 2021.
Hot-rolled, pickled, cold-rolled and galvanized steel flats will see JPY 10,000/tonne ($82/t) increase on prices, Kallanish notes. This price change takes effect from April offers, meaning that May shipment prices will be affected.
