Nippon Steel considers $731m green project location
Nippon Steel, Japan’s largest steelmaker, is considering the location for a 100% hydrogen-based green steel project as efforts to achieve carbon neutrality, Kallanish notes.
The company is expected to fund JPY 100 billion ($731 million) or even more for a project outside of Japan, according to Takahiro Mori, executive vice president in charge of global operations.
