Nippon Steel tests antiviral steel sheet
Japanese steelmaker Nippon Steel has confimed the health-promoting antiviral effect of its newly developed steel sheet, the company said on Wednesday.
In August, Nippon Steel announced that it developed a process to make visible-light responsive photocatalytic steel sheet that generates an anti-viral effect by using titanium oxide, Kallanish notes. The product is now undergoing studies for commercialization in this fiscal year.
