Nippon ships low-emission OCTG to Qatar CCS project
Japan’s Nippon Steel, in a joint endeavour with Sumitomo Corporation, has received high-alloy seamless OCTG orders for a carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) project in the State of Qatar, Kallanish notes.
In this project, Nippon will supply products with 'zero emissions' under the NSCarbolex™ Neutral brand. This applyies the mass balance approach to allocate carbon emissions reductions to specific products.
