Nippon launches demonstration test of hydrogen steelmaking
Japanese steelmaker Nippon Steel has decided to carry out a demonstration test of hydrogen-based gas injection technology in the East Japan Steel Works Kimitsu plant. This technology aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the steelmaking process by 50% or more during steelmaking, Kallanish learns.
