NSSMC and Bluescope add capacity in Thailand
NS BlueScope Coated Products (NSBS) is adding 50% to its galvanizing capacity in Thailand for construction products, according to Nikkei Asian Review. The company is a joint venture between Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) and Australia's BlueScope Steel. Overseas businesses are an increasingly important source of profits for NSSMC, Kallanish notes.
