Nippon adds Mitsui to legal challenges
Japan’s Nippon Steel has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Mitsui & Co., according to the trading house. The case is about technology for producing non-grain oriented electrical steel and is linked to an ongoing case against Toyota Motor Corp and China’s Baosteel, Kallanish notes.
Neither Nippon Steel nor Mitsui have commented further on the case. The case against Mitsui was filed with the Tokyo District Court on 10 December.
