Nickel Asia shipments flat despite low prices
Nickel prices could recover later in the year from current lows, says Philippine miner Nickel Asia, and it plans to keep shipments broadly flat in 2016 from last year. Nickel prices have fallen to a point where Chinese nickel pig iron output is not competitive but nickel ore imports from the Philippines are still weak, Kallanish notes.
