New unit to reduce JSW coke consumption, emissions
JSW Steel has contracted Primetals to supply a 'Meros' off-gas cleaning system for sinter plant no.4 at the Vijayanagar works, which will allow up to 50% of off-gases to be recirculated in the sintering process. This will reduce coke consumption by -7% and off-gas cleaning requirement by up to -50%. Commissioning is expected in the first quarter of 2019.
The unit will treat up to 430,000 Nm³ per hour and will significantly reduce dust emissions…
