New Hebei elimination orders cause advanced capacity closure
The recent order from the Hebei provincial Development and Reform Commission (DRC) has halted construciton of projects by six steelmakers until they comply with new capacity replacement requirements. This means these steelmakers will have to find other capacity to cut or reduce the scale of their plans, Kallanish notes.
