Canada posts monthly gain in iron ore output
Canada's GDP ticked higher in April, with gains in mining output partially offset by a decline in construction output, Kallanish learns from data gathered by Statistics Canada.
According to the organisation's latest report, mining sector activity increased 1.8% month-on-month. Part of that increase came from a 7.1% m-o-m increase in other metal ore mining. Iron ore mining operations increased by 3.7% m-o-m.
