Monsoons drag Indian domestic coil demand
Indian domestic hot and cold rolled coil market demand has weakened again after marginally improving last week due to the conclusion of the general election.
The weak domestic demand is attributed to seasonality, Indian traders tell Kallanish. Market participants anticipate demand to improve post-September, after the monsoon season ends. Monsoons in India occur between June-September, which is a seasonally low demand and activity period.
