Mobarakeh Steel breaks DRI production record
Mobarakeh Steel (MSC) increased direct reduced iron production 4% on-year in the month through 19 April to 649,359 tonnes, beating the previous monthly record set in the month through 21 May 2015, according to Iran’s largest steelmaker. Within this tonnage, DRI plant no.2 hiked output 5% to a monthly record 215,987t.
Annualized for the Iranian year through 20 March 2017 MSC’s DRI production would amount to 7.79 million tonnes.
