MMK's second-quarter revenue, profit down, but recovery looms
Russian steelmaker MMK expects the domestic market recovery that began at the end of the second quarter to continue in Q3. This, coupled with higher output following the re-commissioning of rolling mill 2500 after a major upgrade, will reflect positively on both prices and sales volumes, Kallanish notes.
This trend is further supported by the current recovery in hot rolled coil prices in the Black Sea basin export market, the company says.
