Minnesota still deliberates on Essar loan
Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has not yet announced whether he will follow through on his threat to recall Essar Steel’s $66 million loan for an incomplete taconite mine project in the state, Kallanish reports.
Gov. Dayton told Essar that it had until close-of-business December 2 to pay vendors for work done at the $1.8 billion mine construction site. Neither the governor’s office nor Essar responded to requests for comment.
