Russia's mills produce 5.5% more, or 11.7mt of crude steel in January and February
In January and February, Russia’s steelmakers produced a total of 11.7 million tonnes of crude steel, which marks growth of 5.5% year-on-year, according to Russia’s statistics office, Rosstat. Crude output in February was up 5.6% y-on-y, but actually fell by 7.2%, when compared with January 2015, the statistics office adds.
