Mid-East’s 2022 DRI output increases: new worldsteel report
Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Iran increased their direct reduced iron production in 2022, driving the Middle East’s combined DRI output up 5% on-year to 47.8 million tonnes. This comprised 38.2% of world DRI output at 125.1mt, which grew 4.8% versus 2021, according to a worldsteel report published this week.
