Mexico’s steelmaking raw materials output rises in March
Mexico saw steelmaking raw material output increase month-on-month in March. Iron ore production, however, decreased year-on-year, as did pellet and first-grade coke, Kallanish notes.
According to data from local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi), the country produced 712,801 tonnes of iron ore during March. This was 4.8% more on-month but 15.1% or 126,334t less than in the same period of 2022. Cumulative outp…
