Mexican raw materials output dips in August
The underperformance of Mexico’s steelmaking raw materials production continued in July, Kallanish notes.
Mexico produced 584,957 tonnes of iron ore during July, down by -35.9% on-year and -29.8% lower when compared to June, according to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data. Year-to-date output reached 4,769,121t, or -27.5% less than the 6,586,272t recorded in January-July 2019.
