Mexico's steelmaking raw materials output decreases in 2020
Mexico saw its iron ore and pellet production decrease in 2020, according to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data monitored by Kallanish.
Iron ore output totalled 8.36 million tonnes in 2020. This volume was down 27.6% year-on-year compared to 11.56mt during 2019. December alone saw output of 643,591t, down 35.9% y-o-y.
