Mexico’s March merchant bar production reaches 14-month high
Mexican merchant bar output increased both on-month and year-on-year for a third consecutive time in March, according to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data monitored by Kallanish.
The country produced 22,313 tonnes of bars in March, up 22.5% over February and 5,501t more on-year. This volume was the highest since January 2022 when Mexican output reached 25,039t.
