Mexico’s June rebar, wire rod production declines on-month
Mexico saw both rebar and wire rod output decrease month-on-month in June, Kallanish notes.
According to the local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi), Mexico produced 113,102 tonnes of rebar in June, down 5.2% from May but 6,623t higher year-on-year. Six-month output was 780,944t, a decline of 1.9% or 15,095t less compared with January-June 2022. The value of this reached MXN 13.05 billion ($766.4 million).
