Mexico's June flats production rises, except CRC
Mexican flat rolled steel rose month-on-month in June, with the exception of cold rolled coil, Kallanish notes.
According to data from local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi), Mexico produced 329,259 tonnes of hot rolled coil in June, up 19,666t over May and 19.9% more year-on-year. Six-month production was 1.93 million tonnes, up 29.5% compared with 1.49mt in January-June 2022.
