Mexico’s January rebar, wire rod production increases
Mexico saw rebar and wire rod output both increase month-on-month in January. It was however down on-year, according to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data monitored by Kallanish.
Mexico produced 238,133 tonnes of rebar in January, up 14% over December but 5,821t less year-on-year. The value of this reached MXN 3.4 billion ($182.5 million).
