Mexico's January iron ore output rises sequentially
Mexico saw its iron ore output rise month-on-month in January, while pellet and first-grade coke production declined, Kallanish notes.
According to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi), during the first month of 2022 Mexico produced 979,738 tonnes of iron ore. This volume was 16.5% higher compared to 840,946t in December 2021 and 18.2% more y-o-y.
