Mexico’s first-half raw materials output remains lower
Mexican steelmaking raw materials production fell year-on-year each in June and in the first half of 2020, according to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data monitored by Kallanish.
Mexico produced 833,703 tonnes of iron ore during June, down by -17.6% on-year but 52.7% higher when compared to May. Year-to-date output reached 4,184,164t, or -26.2% less than the 5,673,599 recorded in H1 2019.
