Mexico’s February billet production rises on-month
Mexican billet output increased month-on-month in February, Kallanish notes. Output, however, remained weaker compared to a year earlier.
According to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data, Mexico produced 289,770 tonnes of billet during the month. This was a growth of 4.2% over January but 14,236t less compared to the same period last year.
Two-month output was 567,882t, which was 7.4% or 45,201t less…
