Mexico’s December merchant bar production slows sequentially
Mexican merchant bar output decreased on-month in December 2022. It was up on-year, although just slightly, Kallanish notes.
According to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data, the country produced 21,467 tonnes of bar during the month. This volume was 2.9% weaker over November but 1.4% or just 292t more on-year.
In full-2022 output totalled 232,395t, down 12.6% or 33,422t compared to 2021. The value …
